wait
The guy waiting anxiously for someone at the CCD, "Its so close to her place, still she is taking so much time.. these girls.. can never come on time !!"
cursing himself for coming to meet her from so long.
"aaha.. aaiye Madam.. I dunno really ki u will come so early" sarcastically welcoming his girl who just stepped in.
"Sorry yaar, you know how busy I am. This work, deadlines and my TL came just by the time I was leaving."
She came with her as usual excuse for which He neither agrees to her nor can argue with her.
"OK, whatever, so what the plan now? I was waiting to meet you for so long now, and thankfully you said Yes this time."
He pursued her literally to meet this time. Its been a long time they are friends.
He met her online some year back in some online community where both were searching for the same song. He got the song and mailed her back and they both got started.
Firstly, a few mails exchanged. Both came quite closer virtually and exchanging phone numbers was obvious. The virtual relation became reality when both heard each other.
"C'mon, I am so busy these days, u know that. and U know what happened today..." as She started her quack-quack, He came back to present from the flashback.
"So, what you gonna have today?" He interrupted her nonstop, singlebreath quack-quack as the waiter was beside them to take the order.
"Wow.. Thanks again to you dear, U came outta ur busy schedule and I got a chance to spend such a lovely evening to u !!" He thakfully looked at her as they were coming out of the hotel.
"C'mon again. Don't embaraas me... chalo ab next time kab?" She seems to be happy with the meet too !! "Great" he murmered.
"Hey.. somethings ringing... is that ur cell?" He said while checking his own pockets for cell.
"Naah.. I think its urs.." She told him after checking into her purse.
"I think its a doorbell, get up and open the door, u nerd?" His roomie shouted at him from his bed and got immeresed into his book he was reading.
"Mann.. I was with Her and u such a bad, can't u go urself to open teh door?" He cursing his roomie from waking him up from his dream.
"Hey... did She again said No to meet u?" His roomie aked smiling at him.
period.

Corruption ki Jayy ho !!
It was already around 10.30PM, I was returning back from railway station by dropping Shuchi there. I was not sure about the roads, so was asking ricksha-wallas, fellow bikers for the MG road. I entered some road (Infantry road, came to know about it later) and was just about to race my bike to speed, I found some traffic inspectors ahead, before I make a U-Turn and run from behind, I already landed into their arms. OMG, what a holy crap !! And he was not alone, there was this looting happening with some 7-8 inspectors stopping all the vehicles going through that road and I was just one of the victims who got into their trap L
The conversation between me and Traffic Inspector goes like this …
TP: Take the helmet out, where from you coming?
Me: (Taking my helmet out) coming from station, Sir.
He came close, and was leaning in front of me to sniff whether I am drunk or not? ( I worried, what he is trying to do ?)
Me: Sir, I’m not drunk.
TP: Show me the license, the papers, too.
Me: (Took out my license from the wallet and handed over to him)I don’t have the papers though, Sir.
TP spoke for 2-3 minutes in Kannada and I was a dumb audience he got. After he finished,
Me: Sir, I don’t understand Kannada, either Hindi or English.
TP: 700 Rs. (200 for ‘a’ and 500 for ‘b’). Give now or collect ur license from the court, now go.
Me: (Opening my wallet and showing him the last 20/- bucks that are there)Sir, no money.(trying to be as innocent as I can). 700 is too much, please Sir, Kam nnahi ho sakata kya ??.
TP: (asking me to park my vehicle on the corner of the road) no. 700 is final.
Me: (parked my vehicle. By that time, TP moved to other guy whom his fellow mates have just stopped, I was trying to catch this TP who already got busy with other guy)Sir, no money, Sir. 700 is too much, can’t u come down?
TP: Go to ATM and bring the money, we’ll settle later.
Me: OK.
Got out of that trap, went ahead in search of an ATM nearby, thankfully found one ICICI. Uff, yahan bhi waiting at this time of night. Anyways, got money and wanted to go back to the spot, but it was one way. So, like a good boy, took another road to go back again to this road. And within no time, lost myself on the roads, having no idea which place it was and all one-ways made it worse to locate it again. Anyways, reached there somewhere, no idea.
Found that TP still busy with his work, went near to him.
Me: Sir, I got 400, that’s the max amount I have, what to do?
TP: Ok, gimme 400 and take your license.
Me: (with blank face), Sir, its too much, can’t u come down ??
TP: OK, give me 300.(Must be fwd up by my bargaining)
Me: (Gave 300 bucks, took my license from him and waiting for the receipt. To my surprise, he kept all the money in his pocket. Then I thought, this bribe to get outta from here, is too much.) Sir, 300 is too much and even no receipt.
TP: (Gave back my 100 Rs. and asked me to leave.)
Me: (Taking my 100 back, got away from that place ASAP)
I thought to myself, without NOC, without road tax, without any documents, without proper number on the bike (6972 is just 697 after 2 lost his life some days backL ), 200 bucks is not that bad a deal. Anyways, was thinking about this bribe, I think, we always want the better and faster deal and end up paying money to people rather than to government. Whatever, like it or not, Corruption is here to stay !!!
I even had to pay the bribe for my police verifications for passport, just to move my files across the police station faster, while the other files were just sitting at the table.
It was the same case for driving license too... those going for license without any agents, will have to wait a long time before their turn come up :(
!!! Jay ho… corruption ki jay ho…. !!!

Golden Rules for Career Success
Golden Rules for Career Success - Richard Moran
WORKING as a business consultant all over the world, I have discovered some basic career-related rules that everyone should know—but many don't.
· Business is made up of ambiguous victories and nebulous defeats. Claim them all as victories.
· Keep track of what you do; someone is sure to ask.
· Be comfortable around senior managers, or learn to fake it.
· Never bring your boss a problem without some solution.
· You are getting paid to think, not to whine.
· Long hours don't mean anything; results count, not effort.
· Write down ideas; they get lost, like good pens.
· Always arrive at work 30 minutes before your boss.
· Help other people network for jobs. You never know when your turn will come.
· Don't take days off sick—unless you are.
· Assume no one can / will keep a secret.
· Know when you do your best—morning, night, under pressure, relaxed; schedule and prioritize your work accordingly.
· Treat everyone who works in the organization with respect and dignity, whether it be the cleaner or the managing director. Don't ever be patronizing.
· Never appear stressed in front of a client, a customer or your boss. Take a deep breath and ask yourself: In the course of human events, how important is this?
· If you get the entrepreneurial urge, visit someone who has his own business. It may cure you.
· Acknowledging someone else's contribution will repay you doubly.
· Career planning is an oxymoron. The most exciting opportunities tend to be unplanned.
· Always choose to do what you'll remember ten years from now.
· The size of your office is not as important as the size of your pay cheque.
· Understand what finished work looks like and deliver your work only when it is finished.
· The person who spends all of his or her time is not hard-working; he or she is boring.
· Know how to write business letters—including thank-you notes as well as proposals.
· Never confuse a memo with reality. Most memos from the top are political fantasy.
· Eliminate guilt. Don't fiddle expenses, taxes or benefits, and don't cheat colleagues.
· Reorganizations mean that someone will lose his or her job. Get on the committee that will make the recommendations.
· Job security does not exist.
· Always have an answer to the question, "What would I do if I lost my job tomorrow?"
· Go to the company Christmas party. Don't get drunk at the company Christmas party.
· Avoid working at weekends. Work longer during the week if you have to.
· The most successful people in business are interesting.
· Sometimes you'll be on a winning streak and everything will click; take maximum advantage. When the opposite is true, hold steady and wait it out.
· Never in your life say, "It's not my job."
· Be loyal to your career, your interests and yourself.
· Understand the skills and abilities that set you apart. Use them whenever you have an opportunity.
· People remember the end of the project. As they say in boxing, "Always finish stronger than you start."

Apaharan
Apaharan, an excellent movie !!
Jabardast performances, fine editing and camera work, no songs-dance routine, no nonsense, only reality !!
A man desperatedly seeking a job in police force, forced to do kidnapping and then the king of the black world. A story well told. Every character in d movie has performed to its best... Ajay is marvellous and Nana is fearsome !!
Don't get surprised, if national awards make thier ways to this movie !!

ShivanSamudra Trip !!
1st Scence (till 8AM) : Everyone (Yash, Mohsin, Suneel, Aribijay aka Bambie, Amit Shah, Amit Kasture, Shuchivrat and Myself ) gathered at the MacD side of Forum in d morning... ofc some of them got late. Its cold outside and saturday morning.. hard to get up for the trip !! 5 Bikes, 8 pals, the journey just started !! All Bikes were diff, so our initial discussions were restricted to howz this bike.. average and performance et.al till we got outta city !!!
2nd scene : Took almost an hour to get outta Banglore coz of traffic, fog and drizzling of the rains . Though ASA we hit the roads outside banglore, the bikes raced to full .. vroooomm .... Stopped in nearby Dhaaba to have morning breakfast and after then again zooommm !!!! (9:30AM probably).
3rd scence (12 noon): Stopped nearby a roadside farm for a break from riding and watering some roadside trees ( I mean NCC..). ASA we took off from there, my bike got punctured (pic is in flikr album). What a journey w/o any accidents, we thought!! One of the local kannadiga guy tried to pluck out the Metal piece that peirced my bike from his teeth. But in vain... even we were horrified to see him work like tht, we feared he will damage his teeth this way . Ours was a very funny conversation happening, we din't understood wht he was speaking in kannada and he couldn't understand hindi or English . anyways, Amit S. knows a lil bit of kannada, so he found out from kannadiga tht theres a chance of getting a mechanic from the next village. So, 2 bikes left to bring the mechanic and came back soon.. thnks God. The mechanic came and pulled out my tyre and Shuchi left with him again to his garage for repair work.
Meantime, A Beautiful Location along roadside, some big trees, coconut trees spreading their monstery shadow around, sun trying to peirce thru these trees to make it to ground, lovely cooool place!! One small spring beside, the soothing sound of flowing water that couldn't be replaced by any of the artificial instrument in the world. (We actually kept silence for some time to hear that nature's music), unpacked our bags for aking out lunch material. Bread/Butter, chips, fruits, biscuits and what not!! By the time, the tyre is repaired we had heavenly lunch there enjoying the beauty of countrysides !! Like all good citizens, we din't threw away the used packets/carry bags there instead, we packed all in a single pack and threw it in a bin later at ShivanaSamudra .
4th Scence : All ready to hit the roads again, bike repaired, the acceleraters at max... dhoooommmmmmm...!! . Me and Amit S slowed down a lil bit going thru a village on d way, one small kid was asking for a lift. Normally I avoid to give lift in banglore due to safety, but I stopped for the boy and he jumped on to the bike. A student of 8th class, he was going back to his home after school. I striked a conversation with him in Hindi, he wasn't saying anything. I asked which language he speaks, he said wither Kannada or English. His English was quite good comapred to ours when we were in 8th !! . This boy is commuting daily so far for school and was quite good in studies too!! Hopefully, he will be Doctor someday as he dreams so. He was having this heart shaped baloon with him, I asked "U have a Girlfrend??", he shouted back.."What???" I said .. "Nothing" and chuckled !! .
Scene 5 : Reached the place zooming past everybody, had naariyal paani there, and we were told that the only way to get to teh top of waterfalls is again a 20KM ride. We were tired so we decided we'll get down from tht place only rather than making such a big round on bike. We all ready to treck to get down there from the "Gallery View". There was this fence and a small board written "Do not cross the fence for safety reasons". None of us understood whts written in English, as we are alien to this language . Anyways, we got down and slowly and steadily reached at the bottom of falls.. all rocks there.. couple of adventurers like us were already there!! cool... wht a site mann... clicked so many good pics there... then we threw our bags around, changed cloths to get down under the water, and wht... had a blast for more than an hour !!
Scence 6: Getting to the top again was a daunting task as we already tired, by the time we reached the top with the luggage and wet cloths burdon on the back, I felt like all the lower body is numb for sometime. We changed cloths there in a small hut.. hogged again like anything as we wer hungry... finished most of the food we brought... and back to bikes to hit back to teh road to the concrete jungle .. that is banglore !!
Scene 7: Already dark, vehicles flashing headlights and with so mcuh traffic on the roads, I had a difficult time to see in front while driving. the divider was not visible due to refraction inside the scratched glass of my helmet . There was this couple on pulsar without helmet with whom we enjoyed race for most of the time. He was driving like mad... and the beuty behind him was driving us mad !! . Anyways,,, reached safely back home.. and now planned to sleep for the whole night and the next day .. sunday !!
Anyways... plans to go out once a month are a refreshin breaks one should always take to get outta this bad/professional/tensed life !!!
Take a break... hit the roads.. and N'joy the life to the fullest !!

100 Rs a Hole !!
Hmm.. no new news that all the major metros are washed away in excessive rains recently !!
No Roads are spared of potholes!! Driving on these roads is like getting B'day bumps... lets keep aside the back problems of regular commuters !!
1. In the News... Banglore MahanagarPalike is offering 100Rs. per hole !!
Aaahaa.. thts quite a news now.. report a pothole and and u can win 100Rs for the some of the selected stretches on roads. So, now heres a chance of making money.. but I wonder is there any road without a pothole ?? Anyways.. time for hunt for holes and earn money ;))
2. When I left Pune, in august, not a single road was spared by rains without a pothole. The things making it worse were the digging of roadsides and the mud lying again on the road making it difficlut to even walk.. forget driving vehicles. People there were even thinking of making it to the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS for maximum potholes in a city... Dunno further wht happened ???
soembody said ... Roads in the city are like veins in our body. But... hardly any govt. understands the importance of cleaner, broader and pothole less roads to make the netizens life better !! Wish.. with changing times, roads will also change.. from worst to atleast normal than the best !!

1 Night @ Call Center !!
Heres a new offering from Chetan Bhagat...
For the starters, he is the successful author of "5 Point Someone" !!
But.. this book doesn't match up the expectations.. at least mine.. !!
The story is abt 6 screwed up ppl in life...
1. Sam - A loser in life.. (as per others and he accepts the fact too..), hopelessely romantic. The man with very hjigh inferioity complex .. (somehow..I find this character very very close to me.. except the fact tht he had a GF :( ).
2. Vroom - a sensible and short tempered guy.
3. Radhika - girl had a love marriage.
4. Priyanka - Ex-GF of Sam.
5. Esha - trying her jist with modelling.
6. Millitary uncle.
Its the story abt... ppl workin in call centers.. and how there lifes are screwed by their surroundings... pain-in-the-as* boss... and all tht !! And how suddenly, their life takes a U-Turn and they take on their lives !! It all happen in just a one night... very grippy !!
Very well described romantic relationship between Priyanka and Sam... and their dates... well written !! The climax is kinda filmy..but I loved it !!
Read it.. if u have time...
Those in banglore.. can borrow it from me... to read [;)]

Kyun ki.. Garam Masala
watched these two movies last week in the deewali vacations !!
KK has good songs... but lacks the in the storyline and screen play !!
and GM.. quite watchable .. but still useless crap comedy !!
Akki does a gr8 job as usual..as a total flirt...
john is not good in comedy roles... better he stick to serious roles !!
Paresh Rawal is hilarious.... just amazing timing with Akki !!

A Celebration called B'day !!
Today 27th is Amit Kasture's B'day !!
We decided to celebrate at the strokes of 12 in the midnight provided the RainGods give us some respite from the continuous and excessive rains. But, thnx to them, that Amit's b'day proceeded with we all reaching to his house in time !!
When we started from our house, it started raining slowly... but we decided to go ahead all the way 10-12 KMs on the bike... in the night.. to kick his bum !! Call up the nearby friends, giving address to reach where and then waiting for the B'day boy to come from the office, all in a slow rains, was a FUN !!
Here are some of the pics the way we celebrated his B'day !
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Cake...
Happy B'day to me....
Ale Shona... chalo tumhaala makeup kalate hai :P
Done with teh makeup... lets wish him now !!
Ye cherry kahan fix karen ?? :-?
Balance the cherry...
Cooll..I managed to keep the cherry there :P
The B'day Bums... inase bachake kahan jaooge ??
Hmm.. ab sab safaai mujhe hi karani padegi :-(
===
In all, it was a B'day to be rememberd as everybody has to get up early the next day for offices, but still managed to come there in the night... in the rains.. so too farr in this Banglore !!
Anyways... agar aapka bhi B'day celebrate karana ho to batana.. aa jaayenge HUM poori fauj ko lekar !! :P
Its Raining in Banglore !!
From the past week, I m geting drenched in the evening rains in Bnaglore daily [:(]
Y'day was horrible ... the worst I drenched in my life .. on the bike.. riding on the flooded roads ... where u hardly see whts next on the road... and where the tyres of bikes are submerged fully in the flooded water... and then u r in a hurry to reach home too !! And cell and wallet.. how to protect them from the water when every inch of ur cloth is wet [:(]
It was horrible in every aspect !!
on Saturday, after coming from MG Road after shopping, rain cought us in between. I asked my friend whether he likes to get wet or should we wait for rains to subside. He chose the first option, and we drove the whole airport road on the bike drenching in the rain. It wasn't that painful to drive on the rainy roads. Thanks that, roads in banglore are still in good conditions except some part of teh road where u find potholes. REached home.. all drenched and din't had any enthu of having dinne. So went to sleep soon !!
On Sunday, me and my Friend Amit, went for a shopping a saree for his mother. And we both din't know a single thing to look for in a good saree [:(]. It was horrible, firstly first.. we both guyz were not paid enough attention by the sails ppl in the already Ladies crowded shop. We keep on wandering here and there and finally got hold of one sales boy who understood little hindi and explained and showed us various sarees !! We finally decided on one... and moved out. There we find some marathi speaking girls whom we were about to ask for help, but I find them already confused about their choices as they were asking on the phone for a help in buying.
Anyways, we moved out.. got hold on the bike... and as soon as we hit the road ...it started raining [:(]. Thought of we'll move fast and will be saved by rain, but.. but..but.. it was raining like anything... felt like hundereds of bullets ..no..needles u can say..are peircing my body.. with much greater force !! It was horrible to drive, so we stopped at midway, parked vehicle on the roadside and ran into a underground parking lot. OMG... it was too much of a water around.. and it was raining so heavily that none dared to get out of the parking to the road for driving. There were some ppl already present there and some ppl joined later. Everybody was in a tension, frowned faces and must be cursing rain gods for every evening rains. And here were we, all drenched, still singing songs .. with no sign of panic, no tension. I thought that this rain not gonna stop now, and we moved out as soon as the force of teh rain is lowered. By that time, the road was flooded and riding bike through the water was quite a heavy task for me considering the heavy weight of my friend behind me on the bike [;)].
Anyways, I dropped Amit at Koramangala.. had Pav-Bhaji there.. and started my journey back to my home. It was dry when I started, but as soon as I hot the Inner Ring Road, It was the rain..rain..rain... and more rain. and this time it was worst than some time before. I still kep on driving ahead where my fellow riders on the raod took the help of side trees, littele shops there.
I drove with my full energy as I was drenched fully and started shivering too [:(]. But it was really the journey to be remembered, I enjoyed driving in the rains for the first time .. enjoyed singing the songs while driving... it was GR8 !!!
But surely, don't want to get drenched in d evening every other day !!
Please ..please.. please.. pray to ur respective iGODs to stop raining in banglore.
just for U !!
Ye poem kahin se churaayi hai... but it is just for YOU !!
my feelings are very well said here.. try to understand that [;)]
==============
When you are sad and you need someone there
Turn around your eyes and
You will find me there
When things get wrong and you wish to cry
Hold my hand
But never sigh
When ship of life wrecks in the storm
Close your eyes to trust me
Nothing will go wrong
When the roofs of world scare you long
You’ll find me there for you
Singing a song
You are my armor
You are my might
You are the reason
To make me right
So make me a promise
Today my dear
You will keep that smile on your face
Even when I am not there
my feelings are very well said here.. try to understand that [;)]
Escape to MekeDaatu !!
This weekend been to Mekedaatu !!
Hehehehe... whts tht... ??
Mann.. thts the name of the place near to Banglore. Very strang name indeed and difficult to remember !!
Pata hai.. nobody except the organizer new the name of the place when we started the journey [;)] !!
Then he had to made an announcement of the place name and its significance, and everybpdy then remembered it as "Main kyun Daantu ?? " Mekedaatu !! [:DD]
anyway... its somewhere around 100KM from Bang, and a nice scenic beauty to watch out for in d weekend !! The journey was fabulous... and wht more can u expect from 11 bachelors .. all working.. and fed up with the jobs at hand.. and those who want to make out of the most from the weekend time !! Cracking all jokes... veg and non-veg... pulling each others legs and posing silly in front of the cams to get clicked, it was all fun !!!
abt the place...
First you reach Sangam where 2 rivers Arkavathi and Kaveri meet ... wht a holy union [;)] !!
We left our vehicle here and boarded two small boats to cross the sangam. After that, there was this bus to take u to main Mekedatu point where theres kinda waterfalls and all rocs around !!
The bus journey was gr8... there was no road .. only rocks ... and the bus was not moving .. it was juming all d way. It was difficult to sit on seats so we opted to stand holding the poles tightly !! Wow.. one of us made our day as he danced around the pole like Ravina does in Aks [;)] or maliaka in Kaante [:PP] The pole dance over as we reached our final destination !!
it was horrible to climb the rocks as it was too slippery .. and one small mistake means a holiday to ur project mates [;))]. So, we were extra careful... though some managed to go far.. when they realised it was easy to come so far.. but too difficult to go back !! Anyway... they made it.. we are anyway Ocean's Eleven.. [8)] . we have to made it !!
Then everybody dropped his cloths and jumped into the river... we enjoyed it for more than an hour.. where we clicked pics like anything... and pulling each others (not legs this time), the only cloth tht we were in !! It was all FUN FUN FUN !!!
After an hour.. everybody came out of the water... and got ready to journey back home... and there was this notice wrote on one of the rocks... "Don't swim.. Sewage Water ".. !! :DDD
Wht a gr8 day its been !! We washed ourselves in sewage water :(((
anyway... we not waited for the bus... but started walking thru tht jungle... for 5 KM treck [;)]it was a good journey and we enjoyed a lot !!
After reaching Sangam, we had coconut water... can u imagine.. we finished 33 amongst us !!
tht counts for nearly 3 per person.. we all were so hungry and thirsty :PP
anyway... had a gr8 time.. with gr8 ppl... and a gr8 journey too !!
N'joy... escaping at least in a month to outskirts of ur city to enjoy the real country side !!
GoodBye Salaam Namaste... watchable Cindrella Man
Hmm..
wht a pathetic movie it was !!
Salaam Namste... teh season's most awaited movie... and with so many expectations we booked in advance... and went for the movie !!!
What a disastrous start for a weekend ahead !! This movie sucks.. no logic... pathetic jokes.. all vulgar as it seems !! The storyline was good... but screenplay ruined everything outta this movie. I din't understand whether the movie was about live-in relationship.. or singlehood parenting.. or abt the relationship of 2 ppl who wanted to know each other before marriage [:(((]
Anyway... alls bullshit.. not worth a single look !!!
=========
Cindrella Man... : A Russel crow starrer... watched this in d evening to wipe out the cries we had during SN..[;))].. and this slow starter... once on a way.. takes your breath away with every passing scene !! A Brillian direction and editing... makes this film worth a watch. Based on a true story in the 30s, the life of a boxer legend Jimmy is well etched... specially his comeback after a broken hand into the ring is marvellous. The scene where he begs for money to get his children back, is also worth mentioning. The agony of a begging father can seen clearly on Russel's face !! He is a marvellous actor ... after Gladiator and Beautiful Mind... heres his one more powerful perfoamance !!
Go.. have a fight.. watch it !!
Enter No Entry... Mangal me sab Dangal :P
These are d 2 recent movies I watche..
No Entry.. is hilarious.. and a gr8 laugh riot after a long time... and is worth a watch once !! ( I watched it twice in 3 days that too in theathers ) [:PPPP]
anyway.. its a nice movie.. go and have a laugh !!
Mangal.. doesn't stand to expectations.. except Aamir.. theres nothing in the movie that makes it worth spending few bucks to know abt the history !! It seems that too many manipulations with history... and all the mirch masala sunk the movie in deep ocean !!
Anyway... will update in detail later !!
Watch out for Iqbal... Nagesh Kukkonar's new flick.. (after 3 Deeaware This was an amazing ORIGINAL (note in bold) film... with a marvellous story and an unfolding drama that keeps ur nerve ticking !! )... Iqbal got some very good reviews and is worth a watch... please go for it... and do publish ur comments..I'm sure gonna watch this ONE !!
Sarkar
The topnotch Caste, the Director Ramu himself.. noone can save it !!
and yeah.. its not an inch closer to Balasaheb Thakarey as its thought be !!
The story revolves around Subhash Nagare aka Sarkar who is like a parallel illegal government doing all the goods for poor people. Enter Rasheed ... who wants Sarkar's blessing for smuggling which he denies. The fight between the two and changing power equations keeps the movie going !! The story sure lacks that extra punch... dunno wht.. but lacks it for sure !!
Indicidual performances are too great.. Abhishek's fine performance can't be neglected... and even the small characters stand out as it is always the case for a Varma Film. AB stills the show as always. This man's on-screen presence is just magnificant!! Even KK is impressive in his role of Sarkar's spoiled son. Overall.... the story lacks something.. but can be seen once !!
Rating **and Half !
CrossWord + Gayatri Devi!!
I have been to CrossWord BookStore for many times in their various locations across Pune.
Its great to spend some time in looking around the books, the bestsellers, the music and all thts for FREE !! [:D]. They even have free parking area... most of the time, my meeting point with everyone who wants to meet me on weekend.
"Hey Samyak, ab kahan hai.. and kahan mil sakata hai.. "
"Oye .. tu ek kaam kar.. shaam ko itane baje.. CrossWord ke saamne mil "
It goes like that.
I love psasing my time with books .. mostly reading abt the plot on the backside cover, going thru some magazines, and yeah checking around the babes too [;)]. Listening to latest music is possible with CrossWord only... though I never bought any audio/video from Crossword (Planning to buy one CD next time I go there, C'mon... I will surely buy this time ). I wonder how could they go like this, people normally reading the books in free and hardly buying anything at the original price. (Actually, the pirated books are available just outside CrossWord and that too in most of roadside shops in very cheap rates ;) ). Though, sometimes I too buy from CrossWord but surely not every time :PP
=====
Anyways.. this weekend I spent a lot time scrolling in CrossWord as I was made to wait by my friend (And I hate waiting for someone.. and mostly when someone couldn't care of ur time :XX ). I came across this beautiful autobiography on Rajmata Gayatri Devi.
Wow.. Man.. She is so beautiful, cute and most of all a true photogenic face. I could rate her at the topmost in the most beautiful woman of the century. A true maharani she is... she played most sports, loved Shikaar and that book covered all this in beautiful pictures of her. She was really a great person who just loved her state, carried out various social changes for the betterment of the people.
She is truly awesome.. just go through the link above.. and check out for more ;)
====
I also went through Bejan's Yearly predictions about the sugn signs. No no... I was checking out the information he had mentioned there in the book and now even din't remember what he actually wrote abt my sun sign [;)]. I was just curious .. and had time.. so I got through the book. The book is compiled with all the nitty-gritty details about the sun signs. It has predictions about yearly, then monthly and then week by week. Ohh man... he must be genius to write all about this before the start of the year. He studied too much before writing.. offcourse.. he has to.. he is an established Astrologer. For starters, he is the associated with TOI from a very long time.
Anyways.. every minute passed in CrossWord is worth where u can actually go though the kinda books u wanted.. and if at all .. can buy if u want to complete the book.
Thanks to them ... always.. as they have come to rescue me for killing the time in more good way than just wasting in waiting for other pepole.
P.S. : I came to know abt Sonu's Show in Pune a CrossWord only. So, thanx to them again.
Anyways.. CrossWord Rocks !!
Parineeta
Parineeta.. means "The Married Woman" ( I came to know while writing this ;) )
Anyways, this Vidhu Vinod Chopra's musical love story based on Sarat Chandra Chatopadhyaay's poetic prose is worth a watch several times. So, what makes it so worth is the treatment of film. Being giving attention to finer details of the every frame of the film makes it stand out. The casting of the film is just perfect with everybody performing to their best of abilities, no non-sense dailogues neither lose screenplay. Every character its own charm !!
The USP of the film is MUSIC... too good.. composed by Shantanu Moitra (Never heard him b4 :( ) and penned down by Swanand Kirkire. Every song is eternal mostly sung by Sonu ( He is performing in Pune this week.. and I'm gonna catch him this time.. ), and very sweet Shreya Ghoshal, Even Chitra (remember her ??)is back with "Raat akeli to". Anyways.. what I meant is this film is must for music lovers, and bade parde ka mazaa hi alag hai.
The film revolves around Shekhar (saif), the budding musician, and Lolitha's (Vidya..uhh..) love. The neibours are madly in love with each other and everything seems to be right till the man Girish (Sanju Baba) enters the scene. Girish, every woman's dream man, takes care of the family of Lolitha in their worst of times paying their debts/hospitals and et.all. Naturally, Shekhar gets annoyed with his presence around Lolitha and some misunderstanding and boom.... seems both lost each other. Though love strikes one good holy night between Shekhar and Lolitha, they exchange the Malas and got married in a bedroom by accident though [;)]
Girish take everybody from Lolitha's family to London and some news of their marriage comes to Shekhar. He leaves his music for love and gets into his Papa's business (The Villain, u could say ) and agrees to marry ... hmmm...ummm.. f'got her name..:D played by apni Diya Mirza [:P]
.
Anyways... film is headed towards a final climax in at the Shekhar's marriage ceremony. In all, everybody is happy after the climax.. and why not... Alls Well tht Ends Well.. hai na ??
The Ultimate Bollywood seductress, Rekha is back in an item song u could say... but dunno why . she is still as young and beautiful as she was ever... watch her out [:P]
In all a gr8 product ... and good music throught the film is really a high point.. good musci..
Listen it here.
Got this forward... nice one !!
1. 5 minutes ago you were traveling to office at 80
mph. in your brand new car. Now you are traveling to
hospital at double the speed in an ambulance, You wish
there was 'undo (ctrl + Z)' in life!
2. You are already late, and your key is missing, You
wish there was 'find tool (ctrl + F)' in life!
3. You are a bankrupt, after investing in some weird
business, You wish there was 'rebuild all' in life!
4. The train is so crowded that you cannot get
anywhere near that nice girl at the other end, You
wish there was 'zoom & view full screen' in life!
5. After marriage you realize that there is bound to
be a mismatch, You wish there was an 'evaluation
period' or at least a 'sample download' or a 'demo
version'!
6. One day you realize that you are turning bald, You
wish there was 'cut and paste (ctrl + X)/(ctrl + C)'
in life!
...
....
And the best one is ...........
7. The best part of the keyboard is U & I are together which is not always there in life......
Bose... The Forgotten Hero !!
This weekend I catched this magnum opus and a creation of Shyam Benegal.
It was a late night show of 11PM and we reached helathy 20 min. late directly from the office.
I hate to miss the beginnings and trailors of the forthcoming movies.... but it happened [:(]
So, by the time we are guided to our seats, Netaji was already escaped from his house in Kolkata and reached Peshawar en route to their journey to get into Russia.
The film is a very long (more than 3 and half hours).. and most of all, it looks like a documentary than a film. Netaji's journey and his will to get a force for freedom fight has been covered in atmost details. His controversial marriage to Emillie, his German Secretary is shown in the movie ( I came to know about this in the movie itself )... he also had a daughter from her.
His journey to Afganistan to Germany to Japan is shown extensively with details. Some of the scenes of the movie are just wonderful. In the second half, the war scenes are all mixed and one couldn't get an idea of whts happening in which front. Its all confusing. His batallions were named like Gandhi Batallion, Nehuru Batallion, Rani Laxmibai batallion and like tht. He was a true patriot who wanted the freedom of his nation at any cost and by any means. Cudos to the superhero who just ran out of luck when Japan surrendered in the second world war and his INA (Indian National Army) din't have any support to carry on the fights against British. but still he managed to let the world recognise India as a one nation irrespective of so many religions/languages practised in India. Last but not least, the film din't answer whether Bose actually died during his airplane crash. So, his fans can still expect his return to the independent and free India !!
Caste : Sachin Khedekar is the perfect image of the Bose, he plays the role to his full capacity and he gives full justice to the role. Rajit Kapoor aka Byomkesh Bakshi stands out due to his sheer enthusiasm and patriotism. He wants his motherland to be free and that too very soon, always ready for a fight. Rajpaal Yadav, Kulbhooshan Kharbanda, Pankaj kapoor, Divya dutaa , and Raajeshwari ... all played theor roles to their full potential. The Hitler shown was more like a comedian than a real Hitler, din't know but everybody was laughing at the so thin Hitler ;)
Director, Shyam Benegal shot the movie in all the real locations, has done his research well and comes out with a good product. The movie is mainly for history lovers and it sure is must watch for Bose fans.
Music... AR Rehmaan, the master of music is yet again delivered a music that just keep haunting even after you leave the movie hall. The "Ekla chalo re" ... "Chalo Dilli..." and "Azaaaaaaadi" are just superb. The "Azaaaaadi ..." song shown in the end of the movie with Bose's all original clipping, it stopped all the public moving out of the movie hall to watch that. a gr8 music again !!
Here u listen the Songs...
Still from the Movie...
P.S. : Sorry for any typos... as I completed this in a hurry :)
Lucky .. No time fo r Love !!
Yes.. the film is releasing today. But I got a chance to watch its premier show just half a day ago.
It was a nice crowd at E-Square, Pune's famous multiplex and the timing for the film was given as 9.00PM which was delayed to 10.00. But, the prints were not yet in the screen (as it was the first show). They started with the trailors and shown us the trailors of all the forthcoming movies !! Phew... it was already past 10.30.. and with each trailor, ppl in the theater.. mostly college crowd and youngesters.. were whistling, yelling at the owners as the film was being delayed terribly !! We got the intermission from Trailors at 10.45 PM.. And then outside the screen everybody got on the nerves of the owner (Bechaara... kaam ke boz ke maara.. upar se print nahi.. ise chaahiye Sinkaara ;)) ).
Anyways... with heated arguments passing to and forth... between the mob and manager, the print got into the theater. Everybody relaxed... Huhhhhhhhhh... *sigh of relief*
The film started well, the title role of Lucky (Sandhya), though a newcomer was played with at most innocence. [ I liked her Blue eyes.. and her lips !! She is the combination of Ash and Riya Sen.. and looks gr8 !! ] The first half was very good and the story gets dragged in the second half with all those heroics and all. Won't go in much detail of the story here.
Other aspects of the film :
Salmaan acted nicely... and he is a relief in the movie with all those wiity remarks of his on Luvky Negi, it was fun watching him. The other supporting actors Vikram Gokhale, Ravi Vaaswani and Navani Parihaar done execllent job in their very small roles. Mithunda is back again. This time helping the couple to get reach the home. His role was though significant was unnecessarily turned into the comedy kinda role and his presence anywhere with all those get-ups was highly bollywoodish ;)) Anyways, the music is just nice and songs and their picturisation is also good (at the cost of the slowing the film). Adnaan Sami's first movie music(I guess), but his job is well done. What else... ??? :-?
OK.. rating.. Average ** !!
Meet Harini
I'm back here after a looooooooooong breakkkkkk .. back to Blogging !!
And yeah... this is Harini here.. my new bike !!
Precisely 149.1 CC weighing around 130KG ( almost thrice than mine ;) ... too difficult for me to handle when she is still.. in motion, she is just easy to handle ;) )
I have bought it instantly... no waiting and nothing.. I was just very impatient for this. And those show-room guys were just not enough to handle my impatience, they handed me the bike the same day I approached them and other fromalities on paper were happening thru the week :P !!
That was the first time, I rode any vehicle through Pune's traffic that too in the daylight. It was horrible and my biking is not yet safe :(. Still. I managed to get it to my home without any problem, am not that bad a Driver :P
Here is how.. Honda Unicorn looks like... mine is a Black Color !!
