Escape to MekeDaatu !!

This weekend been to Mekedaatu !!
Hehehehe... whts tht... ??
Mann.. thts the name of the place near to Banglore. Very strang name indeed and difficult to remember !!
Pata hai.. nobody except the organizer new the name of the place when we started the journey [;)] !!
Then he had to made an announcement of the place name and its significance, and everybpdy then remembered it as "Main kyun Daantu ?? " Mekedaatu !! [:DD]

anyway... its somewhere around 100KM from Bang, and a nice scenic beauty to watch out for in d weekend !! The journey was fabulous... and wht more can u expect from 11 bachelors .. all working.. and fed up with the jobs at hand.. and those who want to make out of the most from the weekend time !! Cracking all jokes... veg and non-veg... pulling each others legs and posing silly in front of the cams to get clicked, it was all fun !!!

abt the place...
First you reach Sangam where 2 rivers Arkavathi and Kaveri meet ... wht a holy union [;)] !!
We left our vehicle here and boarded two small boats to cross the sangam. After that, there was this bus to take u to main Mekedatu point where theres kinda waterfalls and all rocs around !!
The bus journey was gr8... there was no road .. only rocks ... and the bus was not moving .. it was juming all d way. It was difficult to sit on seats so we opted to stand holding the poles tightly !! Wow.. one of us made our day as he danced around the pole like Ravina does in Aks [;)] or maliaka in Kaante [:PP] The pole dance over as we reached our final destination !!

it was horrible to climb the rocks as it was too slippery .. and one small mistake means a holiday to ur project mates [;))]. So, we were extra careful... though some managed to go far.. when they realised it was easy to come so far.. but too difficult to go back !! Anyway... they made it.. we are anyway Ocean's Eleven.. [8)] . we have to made it !!

Then everybody dropped his cloths and jumped into the river... we enjoyed it for more than an hour.. where we clicked pics like anything... and pulling each others (not legs this time), the only cloth tht we were in !! It was all FUN FUN FUN !!!

After an hour.. everybody came out of the water... and got ready to journey back home... and there was this notice wrote on one of the rocks... "Don't swim.. Sewage Water ".. !! :DDD
Wht a gr8 day its been !! We washed ourselves in sewage water :(((

anyway... we not waited for the bus... but started walking thru tht jungle... for 5 KM treck [;)]it was a good journey and we enjoyed a lot !!

After reaching Sangam, we had coconut water... can u imagine.. we finished 33 amongst us !!
tht counts for nearly 3 per person.. we all were so hungry and thirsty :PP

anyway... had a gr8 time.. with gr8 ppl... and a gr8 journey too !!

N'joy... escaping at least in a month to outskirts of ur city to enjoy the real country side !!

Just to mention one small thing. To reach to the spot we have to go through the kanakpura road and it is Ocean's Eleven but Ocean's twelve(though the twelfth one is not a lady, all were males) . Yes it was a difficult name to remember but not after knowing what it means. Meke - stands for goat and daatu stands for crossing. So the name stands for "goat that crossed" the sangam. It is said that something has happened here, i think during the sangam of these two rivers, and there was this goat there who jumped across the sangam to reach the other end. Hence the name Mekedaatu. This is what was told to me by my friend.

yeah as my frnd Mr Shuchiv put it well, but I beg to differ , cos it is not " the goat that crossed " or rather "the goat crossing" which means only goats which are amongst the most nimble can cross this place , if u'd seen hard enough, u wld have found 2 rocks jutting out from either side of the river .... only goats cld jump thro this ( well thats wat every1 then thought)thus the name mekedaatu
